Adding a Backend to Your App In Android Studio | Android Developers Blog
I spent several days of my holiday-vacation to learn more about the Android Studio. I was introduced to IntelliJ about 3-1/2 years ago and it was an intriguing alternative to Eclipse, so, I decided that it must be mature and that I might be falling behind on the Android advancements.
Unfortunately, I have to conclude that it still has some significant kinks to work out, especially with regard to the integration with Google App Engine. The ADB crashed multiple times, the installation and updates did not take effect on an existing project and a lot of trial-error discovery was confirmed by other pioneering Developers in the Stackoverflow community.
Following some advice from an SO Q&A, I have decided to put it back on hold and get productive with Eclipse to build my Android Apps and Google App Engine backend.
Wake me up when it is ready.
