The tech news media tends to get all excited when it sees news of "smart" technology, like avatars, auto-correction, behavior learning and prediction, etc. But sometimes simple is better. Here is an example of when "dumb" might be better. While doing a little blogger browsing, the "next blog" that gets selected might have similar content -- food-follows-food, photo-to-photo, vacation-then-travel, crafts-and-quilting. That can be nice, as the Blog Brain in the cloud tries to hold ones attention.
Now try going down a foreign language blog to look at the interesting pictures, artwork, or other visually enticing content. Now the Blog Brain continues to offer-up that language of blog, even if there are no pictures and the language is completely foreign.
Where is the reset button when needed?
